So appropriate for these times, this is a personal meditation, something I have not done at The Mystic Crone until now.  This is often referred to as the "shit hits the fan" card.  But let's dive deeper, there's more to it than that:

The first alarming look brings us...

The cards tell us that you have really had to be diligent about maintaining your boundaries because of a decision you made that has rattled a group of people.  They're actually pretty wound up about it.  This could be understandable if the decision was really any of their business, and if it directly affected them.  But I'm not so sure this is the case.  You tell us -- is it?

Episode #44 ~ Daily Cards/Daily Energy, play the wild card or play it safe?

 

Wheel of Fortune; 4/cups (reversed); King/wands...

You've been thinking a lot about your life lately and how and why everything turns out as it has.  So, was it all just luck?  Was it your incredible choices -- some good and some not so much?  Fate?  Destiny?  The bad thing about you scrutinizing your life under a microscope right now is that you have wound up comparing your life to everybody else's.  This is never a good thing, and this is what they tell you not to do with social media, but there you go.  Don't feel bad, most of us have done it.

This "pause for thought" moment that you're having right now is due to the fact that you have an important choice to make, but you are lacking the self-confidence to do so.  This probably stems from the fact that you're doing that looking back at life thing, and you've wound up questioning a lot of the decisions that you made in the past.  

Don't beat yourself up, you are not alone, and look at it this way -- you're older now, wiser, you've been through some shit, and you have gained a new perspective on this whole game of living.  Really, you have.  If no one has told you this, I'm telling you this now.

Here's the deal... because this is a general reading for oodles of different people, there are two possible scenarios that I see here:

1.  Some of you have always been very conservative and cautious in life's decisions.  Sometimes this has turned out well for you, and at other times not exactly.  For you, the cards are telling you it's time to stop being overly cautious and take a chance, do something out-of-character, change things up, go for it.

2.  Some of you have always played the wild card, crossing your fingers and depending on luck, closing your eyes, and taking the leap.  This might have worked out for you most of the time, or at least some of the time, but things are different now.  This is important and you can't f*ck it up.  It's time to make decisions that are sound and solid, based on fact and good judgment.

So there you have it.  Whichever way this ball is going to roll for you... get it done.

Episode #43 ~ Daily Cards/Daily Energy, finding your voice

Well, your revved up enthusiasm and excitement for something has sure fallen by the wayside, and in a rather significant way, I might add.  So, did you choose to give up completely on this project, goal, or person; or are you giving it/them some distance right now to decide if it's still worth an enthusiastic shot?

The cards indicate that you may be sick and tired of working on it, that you've worked on it for a long time now, putting all kinds of time and effort into it, and you have come to the conclusion that it's been like beating a dead horse.

The cards tell us that you feel that the effort towards this project, goal, or person (relationship) was all one-sided, that you feel that it was mostly you who was doing all the work for a successful outcome.  And quite frankly, not only is this getting old, you're getting tired.

The answer here is that you need a time out to replenish yourself -- physcially, mentally, and emotionally -- "Refill your cup," says the Page of cups, and reap the rewards of this healing process.

You've been going round and round about this for a while now, and even though you've tried holding your emotions at bay, trying valiantly to look at this from a logical perspective, it hasn't been easy, and  you haven't been very successful with this approach.  I feel the most frustrating part of this for you is the fact that the solution, and the most realistic observation of this situation, should be really clear, cut and dried, but there are people around you that are not looking at this in the same way, and it's frustrating you.

You may feel that you have come, or are coming, really close to giving up and throwing in the towel.  Don't.

Episode #32 ~ Daily Cards/Daily Energy, an offer extended

 

7/wands (R); Queen/cups ~ King/cups; 4/wands

Note: the queen and king of cups fell out of the deck together to the floor when I picked the deck up to shuffle it.  I do believe they are here together in this reading for a reason.

On the queen's side there is the idea of boundaries, very stubborn boundaries that she's maintained and probably for quite some time now.  But, this card is also reversed, so these boundaries are getting harder and harder to maintain, and my question and concern is:  Are these boundaries getting harder to maintain because someone keeps chipping away at them and her and she's getting tired and wore down; or is this queen honestly beginning to change her mind about someone or something all on her own, without coerecion or manipulation?

The king, on the other hand, is over-the-top manic happy about something, ready to throw caution to the wind and jump in with both feet.  However, I also get the feeling of impatience; and this is impatience that could be short-tempered and problematic.  My question here is: Will this king be able to control and temper his unbridled enthusiasm and respect someone else's feelings and hesitation without losing it and really destroying the whole picture?

The Emperor (R); 9/wands; 10/cups

At the time of this reading, there's still a fair amount of resisitance here.  I have to say the little queen has girded her loins and stood her ground in the face of some really over-bearing intimidation and a very strong male presence, being the king -- that's a pretty strong word, intimidation, and depending upon the circumstances it could imply a lot.  But, the thing here is that, he means well, his goal -- and her goal -- are to be happy in the end.  My questions are:  Do they really want the same thing?  Are they on the same page as far as the final outcome?  In the end, what will make the king happy?  In the end, what will make the queen happy?  What regrets do they fear?

Page/cups; Strength; Ace/cups

It looks like the outcome here is all on this queen; the ball is in her court, so to speak.  And lets be realistic, the last card in this reading is the page of cups, and we all know that this card embodies relationships; and upright, you know it's all going to work out.  But we're also going to acknowledge that this has been quite a process and along the way the ultimate outcome may not have always been so clear.  

Bottom line, an offer has been extended, and after much to-do, the offer will be accepted.

Somewhere there is someone very quietly contemplating about leaving... leaving a partner?  leaving a location?  leaving a job?  leaving a compromising or difficult situation?  Just leaving.  They've managed to maintain a calm and surprisingly unruffled exterior, so if they actually do leave (whatever it is), I'm sure that it will take someone, or many someones, by surprise.  

There may also be a thread running through this scenario, whichever scenario it may be, and it is wrapped around unpleasant communication... criticism?  arguments?  unpleasant personal and petty exchanges?  lies or gossip?  The thread of this questionable communication is actually the straw that broke the camel's back.

So, they must leave.  Finally, this is made clear for them.

Long story short...

Someone who is generally stable, and someone who is espeically used to being in a stable postion, is going to find themselves dramatically upended.  The rug is going to be pulled out from under you in a very upsetting and rather rough manner.

This is going to come out of the blue, and it's going to happen very fast.  You're going to feel sucker-punched.

The botton line is that this is going to leave you in a very exposed, vulnerable, and compromising position.  You will find yourself caught between a rock and hard place.  And obviously, this is going to be somthing that will be very difficult, if not impossible to fix.  Once let out, the cat is almost impossible to put back in the bag.

Justice; The Hermit (R); Queen/wands

Someone is going to run into an issue that will require them to explain themselves, to justify themselves, and possibly to eat some crow, because they were self-absorbed, or selfish, or they suffered from an unfortunate moment of tunnel vision, or all three.  I know, if this is you, that you meant well, you thought you were doing the right thing -- which means making some unpopular decisions sometimes, but this one backfired on you.

You might find it beneficial, not only to the relationships that this has affected, but also to yourself and your emotional well-being, to back away and step into the shadows for a while, not forever, just for a while.  Let the storm blow over, shall we say.  Time will lessen the effects -- it will lessen the force of emotions, the riled tempers, and the bruised egos, including yours.

Don't worry.  You have not lost your place in the grand scheme of things, nor shall you relinquish all control to someone else.  Perhaps this lesson has taught you that it's okay to delegate responsibility to someone else, it's okay to not be at the top of the ladder, it's okay to run a game plan from behind the scenes and take no credit for the success that comes from it.

You're going to come through this and discover new strengths and a whole new perspective that will open new paths for you.

Our issue today looks like it's a truce that needs to be called, maybe an apology that needs to be spoken.  There appears to be a conflict between two energies, energies that tend to naturally clash the way it is -- one very controlling and maybe a wee bit manipulative, if we want to be honest, and the other very grounded and stable and also a wee bit stubborn.

And there you have it.

There is the feeling here that no one wants to confront what's really going on; no one wants to be the first one to speak up or point out the issue.  So, apparently, everyone seems content to just let this situation ride as is for an indefinite period of time, but...

Knight/pentacles; Knight/wands; Judgement (R)

There are forces at work here, energies swirling and building, whether anyone wants to acknowledge this fact or not.  The conflict lay in the idea of "perspective":  the first one is based in sound logic and linear thinking; the second one is based on passion, impulsiveness, and unbridled enthusiasm.  And Spirit is telling us that to come to neutral ground, to honestly acknowledge and honor each other, "Judgment" is going ot have to be laid aside.

Sometimes dissatisfaction masquerades as unhappiness; and sometimes dissatisfaction causes unhappiness.  One can always be changed up and fixed, the other cannot.

You're suffering a lot of needless anxiety and sleepless nights worrying and obsessing over something in your life.  If this is something that you know can be fixed, do that, don't let this go on any longer.  But if this is something brought about by the actions, words, or attitude of another person, you can't fix them -- but you can choose to remove yourself from their influence.

Leave their energy behind.  The cards tell me that this negative person and their overbearing toxic energy has been around for a long time, way before you ever came on the scene, and it will stay with them for a long time to come.  You don't have to take this journey.
